Nano Machine is a Korean martial-arts webtoon that mixes classic murim fantasy with a science-fiction twist. Adapted from Han Joong Wueol Ya’s web novel, it follows an outcast who receives futuristic technology from his own descendant.
Synopsis
After being held in disdain and having his life put in danger, an orphan from the Demonic Cult, Cheon Yeo-Woon, has an unexpected visit from his descendant from the future who inserts a nano machine into Cheon Yeo-Woon’s body, which drastically changes Cheon Yeo-Woon’s life after its activation. The story of Cheon Yeo-Woon’s journey of bypassing the Demonic Cult and rising to become the best martial artist has just begun.
What Nano Machine Is About
Cheon Yeo-Woon is an orphan within the Demonic Cult, looked down on and constantly in danger. Everything changes when a visitor arrives from the future: his own descendant, who implants a nano machine into his body.
Once it activates, the nano machine transforms Cheon Yeo-Woon’s life, giving him an edge that no traditional training could. The story follows his rise through and beyond the Demonic Cult toward becoming the greatest martial artist, with the synopsis making clear that this journey is only just beginning.
Tone and Themes
Nano Machine blends cult politics, martial-arts battles and a dose of sci-fi, with the nano machine often acting like a built-in system that analyses and improves his skills. The lead is calm and calculating, which gives many scenes a strategic feel. Themes include survival, ambition and changing your fate.
Who Should Read Nano Machine?
It suits fans of murim and martial-arts manhwa, system-based progression and intelligent protagonists. If you enjoyed Magic Emperor’s scheming lead, this is a good match. Expect martial-arts violence and ruthless cult rivalries.

Where to Start Nano Machine
Start at chapter one, where Cheon Yeo-Woon’s life in the Demonic Cult and the arrival of the nano machine are set up. The early chapters explain how the machine helps him, and that groundwork makes the later power climb much more satisfying when read in order.
